The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Damien Roads has been cut.
Roads avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Roads is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Akiyama.
The crowd cheers as Akiyama lands an impressive looking overhand right. Roads doesn't seem phased though.
Akiyama tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Roads manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
