Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Snyder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bourn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carter Snyder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Bourn!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snyder instigates a clinch.
Bourn blocks an uppercut.

Bourn pulls guard effortlessly.

Bourn working for submissions but it's allowed Snyder to get to half guard.
Bourn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Snyder with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Snyder really is a fat lump.
Snyder throwing shots but Bourn is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Snyder decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Bourn moves into the clinch successfully.

Snyder slowing the pace effectively.
Snyder working aggressively here.
Snyder is looking to break free of the clinch but Bourn has double underhooks.
Snyder swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Snyder is looking to control Bourn's arms but Bourn gets an underhook and turns him. Now Snyder has his back to the cage.

Bourn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jason Bourn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Snyder tries to close the distance and clinch but Bourn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bourn is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Bourn moves into the clinch successfully.
Bourn has Snyder pressed against the cage, preventing Snyder from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Snyder pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bourn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bourn is looking to take a break and control but Snyder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Snyder wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Snyder is trying to get back to half guard.
Bourn wants to control but Snyder is keeping him busy.
Snyder is trying to control Bourn's posture but Bourn avoids it.
Bourn controls the position.
Snyder might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bourn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Snyder is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Snyder is trying to get back to half guard.

Snyder manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Bourn tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Snyder has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Bourn is trying to stand.
Bourn takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Snyder looking to control but Bourn is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Snyder fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


It looks like Jason Bourn has been cut.
Snyder controlling his opponent.
Bourn tries to hold on but Snyder pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bourn is wriggling around trying to escape.
Snyder lands a heavy elbow.
Snyder tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Snyder manages to capitalize on a mistake by Bourn to take his back!
What can Bourn do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Bourn has closed the distance and engaged Snyder in a clinch.

Bourn successfully pulls guard.

Bourn looking for subs off his back but Snyder has passed one foot through into half guard.
Bourn tries to get to full guard but Snyder has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snyder is thwarting Bourn's attempts to control the position.
Snyder tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Bourn.

Bourn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Snyder's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Snyder's back!

Carter Snyder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Snyder is trying to stand back up.

Bourn looking to hold on to the position here but Snyder rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Bourn throws a big elbow that misses.
Bourn trying to control but Snyder is working from the bottom.
Snyder pulls Bourn in to control the position.

Bourn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bourn gets to his feet - Snyder follows without any prompting.

Bourn clinches up against the cage.
Bourn blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Bourn has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Snyder is trying to keep an underhook but Bourn manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Snyder is trying to stand back up but Bourn is controlling him
Bourn is breathing heavily.
Snyder trying to hold on to Bourn's head to control him but Bourn postures up.
Snyder holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Bourn tries to stand but can't do so whilst Snyder controls his leg.

Snyder is trying to control but can't.
Bourn wants to get back to his feet.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Snyder manages to get to full guard.

Snyder has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bourn is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Snyder throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bourn blocks it with crossed arms.

Bourn drags the fight down to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Bourn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Snyder manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bourn on his heels. He'll look to pass Bourn's guard now, I'm sure.
Snyder is stalling in the full guard.
Bourn wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Snyder is now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in half guard, Snyder seems content to control.

Snyder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bourn is just riding it out for now. Snyder eventually gives up the hold.
Snyder wants to stand up but Bourn has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Snyder trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bourn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bourn creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Snyder's defenses.


It looks like Carter Snyder has been cut.
Bourn is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Bourn unloads a knee to the mid-section. Snyder lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Bourn stalls.
Bourn avoiding damage as Snyder throws knees to the body.

Bourn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Snyder looks for a takedown but Bourn sprawls well.

Bourn rushes Snyder and presses him up against the cage.

Bourn jumps guard.
Snyder wants to stand but Bourn has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Snyder controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bourn is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Snyder trying to control but Bourn is working from the bottom.
Snyder is looking to work some ground and pound but Bourn has wrist control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bourn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Snyder defends it easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Carter Snyder is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bourn scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Snyder sneaks out the side door and pushes Bourn away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
Carter Snyder showed his dominance in that final round.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
