The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermano shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bryant moves into the clinch.

Hermano gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Bryant is looking for a triangle but Hermano pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bryant is on top in guard.

Bryant is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bryant really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bryant prevents Hermano from getting back to his feet.

Hermano pushes Bryant off and scrambles back to his feet.
Hermano is looking to clinch.
Bryant was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Hermano tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Bryant counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bryant slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Hermano is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bryant frees his head nicely. Oh but Hermano has switched to an armbar! Bryant is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
