Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jarod Bressler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calum Herpich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calum Herpich will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bressler ducks right into an uppercut from Herpich.

and Herpich counters with a three punch combo that has Bressler backing up. Bressler nods at Herpich to acknowledge the strikes.

Calum Herpich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Herpich. No joy for Bressler on that attempt.
Herpich leaves Bressler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Herpich has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Herpich has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bressler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Herpich.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Herpich is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bressler in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Herpich takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bressler wants to stand but Herpich has his arm trapped.

Herpich tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Herpich takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Herpich is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bressler off and has taken his back!
Herpich thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Bressler manages to reverse the position and now he's in Herpich's guard. Nice work there by Bressler.
Herpich is looking to cinch up a triangle. Bressler throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Herpich's body to avoid the submission. Herpich has instead reached around Bressler's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Herpich arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Jarod Bressler was interviewed post fight and said 'Well this sucks. I know I left it all out there and that's all I could do he just out did me. But we got this next one'.
