PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fudd Packer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renji Abarai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abarai has chosen Before I Forget as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abarai takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Packer throws a front kick aimed at Abarai's knee but Abarai avoids it well.
Packer connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Some bone on bone action there as Abarai checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Packer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Abarai has taken the fight to the clinch.

Packer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Abarai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Packer tries to avoid it but Abarai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Packer to the ground. Packer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Packer fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Abarai checks it well.

Packer uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Abarai shoots in looking for a takedown. Packer tries to sprawl out of it but Abarai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Packer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Packer lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Abarai has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Abarai and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

It looked like Packer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Packer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Fudd Packer was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
