The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James closes the distance and clinches up with Messi, looking for a takedown. James pushes Messi against the cage but Messi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from James is defended easily by Messi.
Messi tries to counter by moving into the clinch but James manages to circle out of the way.
Messi jabs James to the body, keeping him at a distance.
