The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bender throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice sprawl there from Bender as Know shoots in.
Know doesn't manage to clinch there - Bender circles away.

Know fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bender to the ground. Know is now in Bender's guard.
Bender knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Know on the ground.
Bender controls Know momentarily but Know frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bender tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Know with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Bender will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Know has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bender is proving hard to escape from.

Know throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bender works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Bender has his foot on Know's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Know works his way back into a safe position though.
Know wants to control from the top but Bender keeps moving.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Know is looking to clinch but Bender is avoiding it.
Bender looks for the body kick but Know saw that one coming.
Know dives in for a single leg takedown but Bender sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Know throws a lazy head kick

and Bender holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Know wants to take the fight to the mat but Bender manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Duster Bender has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aldoda Know.

Bender really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Know tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Know has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bender has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Know is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bender manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bender wants to sweep here but Know controlling him for the moment.
Bender controls Know momentarily but Know frees himself.

Bender tries to bum rush Know with a series of wild strikes but Know uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Know shoots in for a takedown but Bender shows good takedown defense.
Know swats away the attempt to clinch by Bender.
Know throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Duster Bender is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bender misses with a head kick.
Know throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Bender closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Know makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bender wants to get up but he can't break Know's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Bender postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Know keeping full guard, as Bender tries to pass.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looks like Aldoda Know has been cut.
Know blocks a head kick by Bender.
Bender throws a right and a left that both miss.

Bender throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Know was covering up waiting for the punch and Bender finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bender stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Know tries to keep at a distance but Bender has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bender can't break the clinch.
Know is pressed up against the cage. Bender has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Know down to the mat. Know avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bender comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Know is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bender sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Bender seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Bender throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
