Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Markus Norman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konrad Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Markus Norman has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Markus Norman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Konrad Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kowalski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kowalski trying to control the pace.
Norman controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Norman is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Norman controlling the position for now.
Norman is trying to maintain the position but Kowalski is very close to passing his half guard.
Kowalski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Norman tries to get to full guard but Kowalski has control of the leg.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kowalski in particular looking to stall.
Kowalski passes into side control, despite Norman's attempt to control the position.

Norman is doing well to control the position and prevent Kowalski from advancing to side control.

Kowalski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Norman is trying to control but can't.

Kowalski wants to work for an arm triangle but Norman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Norman is looking for a sweep. Kowalski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kowalski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
It looks like Kowalski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Norman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Norman wants to get back to his feet but Kowalski passes into half guard.
Norman is breathing heavily.


Norman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kowalski pulls his head out easily.

Kowalski's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Norman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Norman is trying to hold Kowalski in close to prevent damage but Kowalski has managed to pass into half guard.
Still in half guard, Kowalski seems content to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Norman wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Norman shoots for a takedown but Kowalski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Norman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Norman dodges an elbow strike from Kowalski.

Kowalski has Norman pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kowalski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Norman tumbling to the mat - Kowalski dives into Norman's guard.
Norman is adopting a defensive guard.
Kowalski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Kowalski sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Norman's guard.

Kowalski moves into full mount! Norman won't be happy about that!

Kowalski breaks from Norman's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Norman is just holding on here. Kowalski manages to take his back.

Kowalski patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Norman is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kowalski.
Norman wants to control his opponent's hands but Kowalski gets his hands free.

Kowalski is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Norman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

What can Norman do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Kowalski is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Norman knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Norman for a finish.

Konrad Kowalski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kowalski not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Konrad Kowalski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kowalski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
