The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turnbull avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gomu misses with a series of wild punches.
Turnbull keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Turnbull misses with a low kick.
Gomu looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Turnbull displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gomu throws out the jab.
Gomu lands a lovely overhand right.
Gomu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Turnbull is out of range and Gomu settles back down.
Gomu looks to score with a jab to the body but Turnbull is just out of range.
Gomu scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Turnbull uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gomu.
Gomu thows a left - swing and a miss!
Turnbull pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gomu looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Turnbull uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gomu.
Gomu throws out a loose jab but Turnbull uses good head movement to avoid it.
Turnbull scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Turnbull looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gomu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Turnbull has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Turnbull scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

It looks like Gomu Gomu has been cut.

Gomu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Turnbull. Turnbull circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Turnbull throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Turnbull scoring well with a low kick there.
Turnbull blocks a jab.
Gomu lands a really nice looking cross but Turnbull seems unphased.
Turnbull fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Gomu checks it well.
Turnbull takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Gomu throws a big shot that misses.
Gomu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Turnbull avoids a punch combination nicely.
An attempted straight right counter from Turnbull misses the target.
Gomu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Turnbull closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Good work by Gomu as he checks the leg kick.
Gomu misses with a body kick.
Gomu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Turnbull counters with a straight right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A solid leg kick lands there for Turnbull.
Gomu takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gomu checks a leg kick.
Gomu throws a jab but it's blocked by Turnbull.
Turnbull lands the left hand.

That has opened up Gomu Gomu's cut even more.
Gomu lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Gomu looks to land a left hand but Turnbull moved out of range nicely.
Turnbull misses with a body shot.
A nice side step and Gomu releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Gomu takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Turnbull throws a front kick that sends Gomu stumbling back into the cage.
An inside leg kick lands from Turnbull.
Turnbull lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gomu at a distance.
Gomu looks winded!
A jab lands there for Turnbull.
Gomu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Turnbull tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gomu was well out of range. Poor timing from Turnbull.
Turnbull pounces like a tiger and cracks Gomu with a vicious hook! Gomu is down but not out! Turnbull follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

After the fight, Colin Turnbull was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
