Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Craig Stephens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugene Mcgee!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stephens gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mcgee.
Mcgee takes one to the side of the head.
Stephens throws a leg kick that misses.
Stephens misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mcgee tries to counter with a clinch but Stephens shakes him off and moves away.
Decent striking displayed by Stephens there.

Mcgee clinches.
We've been informed that Mcgee has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Stephens breaks from the clinch.
Eugene Mcgee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jab from Stephens.
Mcgee misses with a hook. Stephens ducked under it nicely.
Mcgee closes the distance but Stephens moves to the side
and Mcgee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stephens scores with a punch to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mcgee darts in trying to clinch
and Stephens counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nice uppercut lands for Stephens. That snapped Mcgee's head back.
Mcgee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Stephens manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stephens was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Stephens jabs at Mcgee's body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcgee staying out of range there.

Stephens feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mcgee sprawling to the canvas! Mcgee rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Stephens finish him?!


Mcgee is rocked!
Stephens swats away the attempt to clinch by Mcgee.
Mcgee is still on wobbly legs! Can Stephens finish him?
Stephens closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Mcgee out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Craig Stephens!
During a confident post fight interview, Craig Stephens thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
