Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lil Jon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cale Downes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cale Downes has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cale Downes!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Downes.
Downes takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Downes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jon's waist but Jon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Downes off to one side.

Downes clinches with his opponent.
Jon has Downes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Downes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Jon works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Jon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Downes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jon has managed to get both his arms back between Downes's legs - danger averted.

Jon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Downes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Downes has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jon off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Downes walks into a left hand.

Downes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jon scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Downes dives in for a single leg takedown but Jon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lil Jon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cale Downes.
Jon scores with a hook.
Downes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jon closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Downes needs to keep his hands up - Jon had a free shot at his head there.
Downes wants to slow Jon down by chopping away at his legs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jon connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Downes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Downes wants to clinch up but Jon keeps it at a distance.
Jon lands with an uppercut that bounces Downes off the cage and back into range.
Downes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jon defends well and Downes ends up having to push Jon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jon slaps away a takedown attempt from Downes, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Downes circles away quickly and effectively.
Downes shoots in looking for a takedown. Jon tries to sprawl out of it but Downes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Downes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jon defends well and Downes ends up having to push Jon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jon lands a lovely overhand right.
Lil Jon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Downes throws a sloppy head kick and Jon moves out of range easily.
Jon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jon punishes Downes's body with a nice straight punch.
Downes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Downes doesn't seem bothered though.
Jon lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Downes takes one to the chin there.
Downes shoots in for a double leg but Jon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Downes is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Downes is rocked!
Downes shoots in for a takedown but Jon shows good takedown defense.
Downes is still on wobbly legs! Can Jon finish him?
Jon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Downes.
Downes looks winded!
Downes with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jon to score with a decent uppercut.
Downes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jon as he jumps to the side.
Jon lands with a big right hook that stumbles Downes - he's out on his feet here! Jon follows up with another monster hook that separates Downes from consciousness! Downes falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Jon stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lil Jon!
Lil Jon is the new lightweight champion!
A relieved looking Lil Jon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
