Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kimble Cho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Vogel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Kimble Cho has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kimble Cho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kurt Vogel!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cho shoots in looking for a takedown but Vogel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cho's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cho darts in looking for a takedown but Vogel gets double underhooks and turns Cho into the cage.

Vogel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Vogel slows the pace down in half guard.

Vogel wants to control but Cho is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vogel thows a huge punch but Cho dodges it nicely.
Vogel is stalling here. Cho is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Vogel seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cho has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Vogel is trying to buck Cho off.
Cho really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cho has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Vogel closes the distance and clinches.

Vogel is pressed up against the cage. Cho has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Vogel down to the mat. Vogel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vogel wants to stand but Cho is controlling the position.
Vogel is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Cho wants to stand but Vogel is controlling his posture from full guard.
Cho will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Vogel has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Cho has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Cho is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Vogel gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Vogel is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cho can't fight it off and eventually Vogel manages to take the fight to the floor. Cho looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Vogel has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cho parries the strikes from Vogel easily there. Vogel is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cho to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cho pushes Vogel away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vogel gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Vogel is looking to take a break and control but Cho is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Vogel seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kurt Vogel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cho goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Vogel rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cho's guard! Nice work there by Vogel!

Vogel wants to get back to his feet but Cho is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Vogel is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Cho presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Cho has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vogel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cho is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Vogel is defending well.

Vogel has picked Cho up - he's going for a ride! Vogel dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Vogel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cho was covering up waiting for the punch and Vogel finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kurt Vogel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well Vogel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
