Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Art Vandelay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Judas Holofernes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Art Vandelay has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Art Vandelay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Judas Holofernes!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Holofernes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vandelay.
Vandelay throws a poor cross that misses

and Holofernes counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Vandelay wriggles free and stands up.
Vandelay swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Holofernes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Vandelay fails in his attempt to clinch.
Holofernes is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Holofernes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Holofernes seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Vandelay wants to get back to full guard.

Vandelay throws a looping overhand right but Holofernes ducks down to avoid it.
And Holofernes tries to counter it with a takedown but Vandelay pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Vandelay loads up on a big right hand but Holofernes slips the punch.
Vandelay takes a swing at Holofernes's ribcage but misses.
Holofernes is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

and Holofernes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Holofernes's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Holofernes won't allow Vandelay to get back to his feet.

Holofernes stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Art Vandelay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vandelay tries to close the distance and clinch but Holofernes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vandelay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holofernes was well out of range. Poor timing from Vandelay.
Art Vandelay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vandelay cracks Holofernes with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Vandelay looks to land a right hand but Holofernes moved out of range.

Holofernes moves away from the strike by Vandelay.
Holofernes tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Vandelay tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Holofernes counters with a shoot takedown. Vandelay fights it but they end up in guard.

Vandelay is working an open guard so Holofernes takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Vandelay connects with a good right hand that stumbles Holofernes. Holofernes circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Judas Holofernes will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Vandelay works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
BOOM! Vandelay lands a beautiful left hook that drops Holofernes. Holofernes tries to recover but Vandelay is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Holofernes lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Art Vandelay!
After winning the bout, Art Vandelay thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
