The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Daley.
Fertus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Fertus throws a series of punches but Daley avoids them all with ease.
Daley throws a shot from downtown. Fertus moves away and avoids it.
Daley walks into a stiff left hand from Fertus.

It looks like Conor Daley has been cut.
Fertus with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Daley to score with a decent uppercut.
A slow jab from Daley misses its intended target.
Daley has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Fertus's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Daley connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fertus scrambles back to his feet.

Fertus tries to keep at a distance but Daley has taken the fight into the clinch.

Fertus wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fertus blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Fertus misses with an elbow over the top.
Fertus is trying to push Daley away but Daley has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Fertus.

Fertus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fertus connects with a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Daley swings widly with a right hand
and Fertus counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Daley lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fertus doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Daley throws an off balance right hand
and Fertus counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fertus throws a hook but Daley avoids it easily.

Daley has closed the distance and engaged Fertus in a clinch.
Daley swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Fertus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fertus looks to throw the jab but Daley is out of range.

Fertus takes a swing at Daley's ribcage but misses.
Fertus rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Daley counters with a straight right hand.
Daley lands with a straight right. Fertus didn't see that one coming.
Daley cracks Fertus with a right hand to the side of the head.
Daley throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fertus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Daley throws a hook to the side of Fertus's head but Fertus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Daley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Conor Daley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Daley moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Daley connects with a looping right hand.

Fertus is rocked!
Daley keeps control of Fertus as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Oh Fertus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Daley lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Fertus to his knees! Daley keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
