Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ahsan Hamed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ahsan Hamed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Cote!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamed throws a leg kick but Cote sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Cote tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Ahsan Hamed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Hamed. Those never looked like landing.
Cote avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cote wants to counter the offense by Hamed and move into the clinch position.
Good leg kick by Hamed there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hamed throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Cote holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Cote pulls Hamed into guard.
Cote controlling Hamed's posture.
Hamed wants to control from the top but Cote keeps moving.
Hamed has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hamed is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cote has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hamed is looking to defend but Cote has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hamed! Cote pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hamed taps out and this one is all over!
