The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brok looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Strauss is fending him off so far but Brok persists. Nope, Strauss circles away and we're back to standing.

Brok tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Strauss wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Brok's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Strauss wants to control but Brok is keeping him busy.

Strauss slips a nice elbow through Brok's hands, connecting with Brok's forehead.

Strauss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brok. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Strauss is working Brok over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Brok thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Strauss postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brok can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Strauss controls the pace.

Strauss slaps away a takedown attempt from Brok, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Strauss bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Brok is rocked!
Strauss postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Brok badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Strauss around the waist but Strauss pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Strauss is the winner by TKO! Strauss jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Wendall Strauss made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'WEAK HE WAS WEAK! GIVE ME SOMEONE REAL! I'LL TEAR THEM APART TOO!'.
