Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Wills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Country Grace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wilson Wills!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Country Grace!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grace goes for a double leg but Wills avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wills continues to drive forward.
A little feinted left hand from Wills on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Grace has closed the distance and engaged Wills in a clinch.

Wills has picked Grace up - he's going for a ride! Wills dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Wills tries to pass the half guard into mount. Grace knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Wills is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Wills is thwarting Grace's attempts to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grace is not content to let Wills control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grace wants to control but Wills is keeping busy.
Wills is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Grace reverses the position - he's now on top in Wills's guard.
Grace distracts Wills with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Wills escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Grace gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Grace tries to stand but Wills is controlling from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wills being controlled here, momentarily.
Wills looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Wills is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grace defends well.
Wills pulls Grace in close to his closed guard and prevents Grace from doing any damage or advancing position.
Grace slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Grace just content to control the position.
Grace is looking to take a break and control but Wills is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wills regains half guard.
Wills has his hands clasped together around Grace's back. He's all about the action.

Wills looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Grace not doing much here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Grace misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Wills counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wilson Wills has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Country Grace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Grace tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wills defends well and Grace ends up having to push Wills into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It looked like Wills wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Wills misses with a wild combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Wilson Wills will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wills lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Grace has his takedown stuffed
and Wills counters with an outside leg kick.
Grace misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Wills to counter with a crisp jab.
Grace misses with the combination.
Wills throwing a counter right hand but Grace manages to avoid it.

Wills stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wills wants it to stay on the feet.

Grace tries to clinch there but Wills circles away.

Wills lands a leg kick that knocks Grace off balance momentarily.

and Wills counters with a straight right hand.
Grace looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wills is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Grace can do to turn this around?

and Wills cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Grace on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Grace dives in and grabs Wills's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wills pushes down on Grace's head and hops out.

Grace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wills is fending him off so far but Grace persists. Nope, Wills circles away and we're back to standing.
Wills circles away from the clinch attempt.

Wills's jab looks to have found its range, popping Grace under the eye.
Country Grace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grace shoots in for a takedown but Wills shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wills lands with a straight right. Grace didn't see that one coming.
Grace throws a sloppy head kick and Wills moves out of range easily.
A little feinted left hand from Wills on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Wilson Wills is winning the standup battle so far.
Grace misses with a jab to the body
and Grace takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Grace looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Grace looks to clinch
letting Wills counter with a right hand.

Grace takes the fight into the clinch.
Grace taking a breather.
Wills wants to break free but Grace has control.

Wills tries to pull guard but Grace won't allow it.
Grace goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wills prevents it.
Grace stalling in the clinch.
Wills tries to work over Grace's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Wills jumps guard and drags Grace to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Wills has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Grace is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wills.

Grace tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Grace has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grace decides to stand back up.
Country Grace is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Grace tries to clinch up
and Grace takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Grace tries to close the distance and clinch but Wills swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wills is looking to counter with a body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilson Wills dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Grace swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Wills counters with a stiff right hand.
Grace tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wills sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Grace somewhat.
Wills misses with a looping left.
Grace shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wills as he avoids it easily.
Wills throwing a counter right hand but Grace manages to avoid it.

Grace rushes Wills and presses him up against the cage.
Wills prevents the takedown attempt.
Wilson Wills has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Country Grace.

Wills tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Wills jumps into guard, dragging Grace to the mat.
Grace trying to control the position from guard on top but Wills is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grace stands up over Wills, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wills is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Grace is aware though and is defending well.
Wills really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Grace has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wills is proving hard to escape from.
Grace throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wills works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Grace slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wills is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at LOD: Ground Zero, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Wills is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Wills has a hand on Grace's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Grace takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Wills stops Grace from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Wills tries to hold on but Grace postures up.
A nice elbow there by Grace.
Wills tries to lock up and control but Grace gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Wills keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Grace tries to push Wills's head away but Wills is holding on tight.
Wills tries to reverse the position but Grace maintains control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wills stops Grace from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Wills reaches up to try and control the position but Grace seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Wills rolls and tries to escape and now Grace has his back!
Wilson Wills is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Wills manages to reverse the position and now he's in Grace's guard. Nice work there by Wills.

Grace looking for a guillotine here but Wills defends easily.
Wills will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Grace throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Grace lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Grace postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wills is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Grace, into his guard.

Wills's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Country Grace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wills prevents Grace from getting back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Country Grace.
I think Wills has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
