Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jc Callahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DooHo Choi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jc Callahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, DooHo Choi!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Callahan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Choi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Choi looks to score with a jab to the body but Callahan is just out of range.
DooHo Choi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Callahan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Choi!
Callahan prevents Choi from escaping the position.
Callahan lands a decent elbow from side control.
Choi tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Even with his hooks in, Callahan manages to miss with strikes from the back.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Choi is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Choi trying to get back to his feet but Callahan is in full control for now.
Choi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Callahan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Callahan has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Callahan lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Choi hold on?!
We've been informed that Choi has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Callahan is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Choi is defending well though. Callahan let's go of the attempt for now.

Callahan is looking for the choke from the back position but Choi is controlling his hands well.

Choi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Callahan's elbow.

Callahan is trying to drag Choi to the mat but Choi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

DooHo Choi seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Choi throws a head punch that misses.

A frustrated look appears on Callahan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Choi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Choi lands with a light punch inside.
Choi throws a punch but it's blocked by Callahan.

Choi tries to throw a body punch but Callahan avoids it by throwing Choi back against the cage.
Callahan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Choi gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Choi lands a right hand that snaps the head of Callahan backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DooHo Choi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Callahan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
