Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Riaq Rowanda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis McElroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowanda misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McElroy doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
McElroy misses with a two punch combination.
Rowanda keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McElroy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rowanda pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McElroy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rowanda scores with a kick to the body.
Rowanda throws a series of punches but McElroy avoids them all with ease.
Rowanda connects with a high kick.

Rowanda moves into the clinch.
McElroy is trying to break free.
A frustrated look appears on McElroy's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Rowanda has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
McElroy is trying to break the clinch but Rowanda has him pressed against the cage.

Rowanda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McElroy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rowanda moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McElroy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McElroy throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rowanda counters with a three punch combo that has McElroy backing up. McElroy nods at Rowanda to acknowledge the strikes.
McElroy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Rowanda rushes McElroy and presses him up against the cage.

Rowanda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rowanda dodges the punch combination from McElroy.
Rowanda fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McElroy has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A shot to the body from McElroy misses
and Rowanda counters with a series of strikes. McElroy will be more careful next time no doubt.

Rowanda takes the fight into the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McElroy looks winded!
McElroy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McElroy takes a swing at Rowanda's ribcage but misses.
Rowanda turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Rowanda connects with a jab.
Rowanda lands a head kick. McElroy smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

McElroy is rocked!

Rowanda darts in and clinches McElroy up against the cage.
McElroy is still on wobbly legs! Can Rowanda finish him?

Rowanda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McElroy seems to have recovered his senses.
McElroy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
McElroy gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Rowanda points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. McElroy wakes up just in time to hear Rowanda thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

After winning the bout, Riaq Rowanda thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
