Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shon Rich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ale Sinclare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shon Rich had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shon Rich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ale Sinclare!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sinclare gets a takedown into half guard.
Rich throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Rich is trying to stand.

Rich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rich manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sinclare manages to get himself to full guard.


Sinclare is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sinclare had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rich defends it easily.

Rich throws an elbow that misses. Sinclare uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rich's guard. Nice move by Sinclare!

Rich pulls Sinclare in close to prevent any damage.
Sinclare trying to control the position from guard on top but Rich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rich really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rich wants to stand and escape but Sinclare is having none of it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rich enables Sinclare to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rich manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Rich lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sinclare stops Rich from getting back to his feet.

Rich fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rich tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sinclare smiles and moves away.

Rich is staying active underneath Sinclare, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rich can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sinclare is looking to escape.

Ale Sinclare showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sinclare closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rich is trying to pull guard but Sinclare turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Sinclare ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sinclare no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Rich lands a couple of elbows.

Sinclare takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sinclare moves into the clinch successfully.
Rich jumps guard but Sinclare turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Rich's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sinclare feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rich shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sinclare but Sinclare pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Rich gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

I would just about give that final round to Ale Sinclare.
Well Sinclare has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
