Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lightningon Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Topper Green and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose misses with a body kick.

Rose closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jones pulls guard effortlessly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rose throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rose gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rose loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jones looking for a sweep. Not yet Jones, not yet.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rose defends it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rose wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.

Jones is looking for a triangle but Rose pushes his legs off easily.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rose wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Horrible takedown attempt by Rose or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones, which made it look bad.

Rose gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jones is in close to Rose's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rose knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.
Jones prevents Rose from getting the reversal.
Rose is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Jones swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rose is now in Jones's guard. A big mistake from Jones there, giving up the dominant position!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Rose shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And Jones tries to counter it with a takedown but Rose pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Jones lands with a kick to the ribs.

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rose's guard.
