Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dimitrious Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benni Caine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caine throws out a powerful jab.
Caine throws a shot to the body.
Caine avoids the head kick by Cruz.
Cruz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Caine circles away.
Caine digs a good body shot into Cruz's ribs.

and Caine counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cruz won't be happy with that.
Cruz dodges the ground and pound from Caine.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caine throws an elbow but Cruz slips to the side and avoids it well.
Caine is trying to ground and pound but Cruz uses the momentary lack of control by Caine to regain half guard.
Caine throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cruz to regain full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Caine avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Caine throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cruz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Caine is stalling in the full guard.
Caine in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cruz wants to get back to his feet but Caine is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Caine trying to control the position from guard on top but Cruz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cruz is looking to stand up but Caine isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Caine is keen to just control but Cruz is a slippery customer.

Caine works his foot free and advances to mount.
Caine takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Caine throws some wild stikes that Cruz manages to avoid easily.

Caine looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Cruz is desperately trying to improve his position but Caine has a good base and remains in mount.

Caine sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Cruz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Caine thows a huge punch but Cruz dodges it nicely.

Caine thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cruz's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cruz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Caine is working away from the top position though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benni Caine dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Cruz on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Caine sizes up Cruz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Cruz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Caine clobbers Cruz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Caine fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cruz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Caine uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cruz.

Cruz instigates a clinch.

Cruz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Caine listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Caine as he jumps to the side.
Cruz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

A head kick by Cruz misses
and Caine counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cruz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cruz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A shot to the liver by Caine. Beautiful body shot.
Cruz on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Cruz moves in looking to clinch but Caine pushes him off.
Caine dips to his left and cracks Cruz with an uppercut!
Caine lands with a good body shot.
Caine fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cruz on the side of the head.
Caine scores with a jab to the jaw.
Cruz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cruz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Caine defends well and Cruz ends up having to push Caine into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cruz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cruz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Caine keeps working.
Caine is looking to regain half guard here but Cruz keeps moving and retains side control.
Caine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cruz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cruz is trying to get an arm triangle but Caine is defending well.
Caine is not content to let Cruz control the position.

Caine is trying to control Cruz's posture but Cruz avoids it.
Cruz misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Cruz wants to stand but Caine has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Caine bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cruz's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Caine postures up in Cruz's guard and throws a big left but Cruz blocks it.

Caine has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cruz to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Caine is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cruz pulls down on the head and he's put Caine to sleep! This one is all over!
