The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kandle dives in and scores a takedown into Ortiz's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.


Kandle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ortiz is just riding it out for now. Kandle eventually gives up the hold.

Kandle is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ortiz sees it coming and defends easily.
