Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Corwin Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raphael Adamson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raphael Adamson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Raphael Adamson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anstey connects with a single shot there.
Anstey throws a right and a left that both miss.
Anstey sets himself, and Adamson steps forward looking for the clinch! Anstey avoids it this time.

Adamson shoots in and gets a takedown into Anstey's guard.

Anstey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Adamson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Anstey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Adamson defends well.

Anstey throws a strike but Adamson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Adamson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Anstey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Adamson has Anstey in his guard.

Anstey stands up over Adamson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Anstey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Adamson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Anstey has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Adamson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Anstey.

Anstey drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Anstey throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Anstey swings around for an armbar but Adamson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Anstey's guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Adamson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Adamson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Corwin Anstey.
Well Anstey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
