Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christian Volland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taiga Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christian Volland had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jim misses with a hook to the body
enabling Volland to counter with a crisp jab.
Jim blocks a jab.
Jim tries to bum rush Volland with a series of wild strikes but Volland uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jim scores with a jab. Volland acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jim throws a lazy right hand but Volland sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Volland avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
It looked like Volland wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Volland takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A jab from Jim finds it's way through Volland's defenses.
Volland thows a left - swing and a miss!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jim lands with an overhand left.

Jim catches Volland with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Jim throws a right hand that Volland ducks under and follows up with a left that Volland also avoids with ease.
Volland attempts a counter takedown but Jim avoids it well and moves away.
We've been hearing reports that Volland has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jim smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
