Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matti Majava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Majava has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. BJ Penn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Majava's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Penn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Majava working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Majava is trying to control. Penn wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

I think Penn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

BJ Penn spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
