Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ronald Railgun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Erick Snider!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snider misses with a few strikes there.
Snider misses with a straight left.
Snider fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Snider has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Snider shoots for a double leg takedown but Railgun sprawls well. He's pushed Snider's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Railgun fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Ronald Railgun has been cut.
A bit of stalling here from Snider.
Railgun is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Snider gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Snider has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Railgun clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Snider is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Snider gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Snider gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Snider apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Erick Snider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Railgun tries to counter with a takedown but Snider is quick to defend against it.
Snider shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Railgun sprawls well. Railgun wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Snider gets slowly back to his feet.
Snider shoots in and drives through. Railgun sprawls well.
Snider slaps away a takedown attempt from Railgun, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Snider tries to score a power double leg takedown but Railgun sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Snider somewhat.
Railgun drops down looking for a counter takedown but Snider sprawls and moves away.

Snider closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Railgun quickly recovers to half guard.
Snider looks winded!

Railgun is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Railgun is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snider pulls his head out easily.
Railgun is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Snider landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Snider really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Railgun. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Railgun manages to get to full guard.

Railgun looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Snider stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Railgun swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Snider keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Railgun's head.

Railgun is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Snider has his hands clasped together but Railgun extends and breaks Snider's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Railgun.
