Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Michael Blake and Rage Machine. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 2 losses; Michael Blake! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Rage Machine!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Blake takes the fight into the clinch.

Blake has picked Machine up - he's going for a ride! Blake dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Blake has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Blake is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Machine has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blake is working away from the top position though.

Blake is working for a kimura but Machine is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blake is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
I really don't envy Machine right now.

Blake slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Machine is trying to break free.
Machine is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Machine is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Machine is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Blake off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Blake takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Blake can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Machine is looking to escape.

Machine moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Machine isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Blake stacks Machine on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Blake!

Machine is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Machine reaches up around Blake's neck trying to control. But Blake takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Machine! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Machine is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Blake celebrates the victory with the fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Michael Blake!
