Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Evgeniy Malkin and Bjj Spar. Malkin comes to the cage accompanied by The Heavy - How You Like Me Now?. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Evgeniy Malkin! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Bjj Spar!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Malkin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Spar is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Malkin to keep the fight standing.

Malkin is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Spar manages to reverse the position and now he's in Malkin's guard. Nice work there by Spar.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spar pushes down on Malkin's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Spar is pressing down on Malkin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Malkin is holding on for now.

Malkin is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Spar has latched onto it... Big trouble! Spar pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Malkin is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Spar!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bjj Spar!
In his post fight interview, Bjj Spar started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
