Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aznar Thrul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Bolivar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pablo Bolivar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aznar Thrul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 3, fighting out of Helsinki, Pablo Bolivar!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolivar scores with a crisp jab that stopped Thrul in his tracks.
Bolivar throws out a leg kick but Thrul moves out of range and Bolivar only half commits.
Thrul takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bolivar's coach down at K.O.N.Y. was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bolivar's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Thrul shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bolivar pinned against the cage. Bolivar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Thrul tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bolivar cracks Thrul with a good jab.
Bolivar tries a head kick but it misses.
Bolivar throws a nice outside leg kick.
Bolivar takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Thrul closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thrul is looking to take a break and control but Bolivar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Thrul looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bolivar is avoiding damage well.

Thrul misses with the ground and pound.
Bolivar on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The ground and pound from Thrul seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Bolivar parries the strikes from Thrul easily there. Thrul is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bolivar to escape.
Thrul laying and praying for a moment but Bolivar takes advantage and regains half guard.
Bolivar tries to get to full guard but Thrul has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bolivar keeps trying to improve his position.
Thrul is looking to take a break and control but Bolivar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bolivar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thrul is working away from the top position though.
Thrul not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bolivar is staying active underneath Thrul, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Thrul thows a huge punch but Bolivar dodges it nicely.
Thrul throwing shots but Bolivar is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bolivar is trying to stand back up but Thrul is controlling him
Thrul is taking a breather. Bolivar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Thrul is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bolivar is just riding it out for now. Thrul eventually gives up the hold.

Bolivar is trying to maintain the position but Thrul is very close to passing his half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Thrul ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Thrul half committed to a counter leg kick.
Bolivar misses with a wild body shot.
Bolivar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thrul can pounce on him.
Bolivar throws a head kick that half lands.
Bolivar misses with a straight left.

Thrul shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bolivar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Thrul working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Thrul loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Thrul's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bolivar tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Thrul throws a big elbow that misses.
Thrul throwing strikes but missing.
Thrul slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Thrul pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bolivar is keeping the position for now.
Thrul trying to control the position from guard on top but Bolivar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Aznar Thrul will probably get the nod.
That's time! Thrul's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Thrul connects with a body shot that sends Bolivar's belly button to the back.
Bolivar throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Thrul counters with an inside leg kick.
Bolivar throws a lazy uppercut
and Thrul counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Pablo Bolivar seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Thrul closes the distance and pushes Bolivar back into the cage.
Thrul misses with a hook from the clinch.
Thrul lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bolivar backwards.
Bolivar tries to throw a body punch but Thrul avoids it by throwing Bolivar back against the cage.
Thrul prevents a body shot from Bolivar.
Bolivar is trying to break the clinch but Thrul has him pressed against the cage.
Thrul lands a body punch in the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bolivar creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Thrul misses with some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bolivar lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Thrul.
Thrul tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bolivar misses with a punch on the inside.

Bolivar breaks the clinch.
Nice straight punches there by Thrul. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Thrul.

Bolivar is looking to slow Thrul down with leg kicks.
Bolivar moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Thrul misses with a leg kick
and Bolivar counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bolivar lands a jab to Thrul's midsection.
Bolivar takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bolivar lunges at Thrul with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Thrul's hand.
Bolivar closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Bolivar stuns Thrul with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bolivar. Thrul does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thrul looks for a takedown but Bolivar sprawls well.

and Thrul counters with a head kick.
Thrul throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed right hand from Bolivar misses the target.
Pablo Bolivar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bolivar stuffs the takedown attempt from Thrul. Thrul gets slowly back to his feet.
Thrul loads up on a big right hand but Bolivar slips the punch.
Thrul throws a wild body kick that Bolivar sees coming a mile off.
Thrul misses with a hook. Bolivar ducked under it nicely.
Thrul moves in looking to clinch but Bolivar pushes him off.
Thrul fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bolivar misses with a kick to the body.
Bolivar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Thrul.
Bolivar let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Thrul closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bolivar circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bolivar! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aznar Thrul. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Thrul looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bolivar!

Thrul looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Thrul has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Thrul tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Aznar Thrul overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bolivar tries to improve position but can't.

Thrul thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Thrul happy to just control the position for now.
Bolivar is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thrul controls the position from side control.
Thrul trying to control the position but Bolivar is working away.
Bolivar takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Bolivar takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bolivar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Thrul wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aznar Thrul.
I think Thrul has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
