Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryant misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've been told by Taggart's head coaches at Rabid Dog that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Taggart moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bryant closes the distance but Taggart moves to the side
and Taggart counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bryant shoots in looking for a takedown. Taggart tries to sprawl out of it but Bryant keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taggart manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bryant shoots in for a double leg but Taggart sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Cole Taggart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Desean Bryant.
Taggart connects with a right hand. Bryant shakes it off.
Taggart throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Bryant is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Taggart.

Taggart fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Bryant seems to have recovered his senses.
Taggart takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Bryant takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bryant avoids the head kick by Taggart.
Taggart lands a big head kick that sends Bryant to the canvas! Taggart follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Cole Taggart opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
