The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marcos closes the distance and pushes Blazusiak back into the cage.
Marcos gets through Blazusiak's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Marcos lands a body shot.
Blazusiak is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
We've been hearing reports that Marcos has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Blazusiak is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Marcos is defending well for now.

Marcos postures up in Blazusiak's guard and throws a big left but Blazusiak blocks it.

Blazusiak isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Marcos stacks Blazusiak on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Marcos!
Marcos connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Blazusiak some visible discomfort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blazusiak is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Marcos has just dragged him back down to the mat.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blazusiak can do anything to dispel that myth.

Marcos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Marcos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blazusiak keeps working.

Blazusiak is trying to get back to half guard.

Marcos has hold of Blazusiak's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Blazusiak tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Marcos cranks the arm and Blazusiak screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Blazusiak, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
