PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leonidas Spiliopoulos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borkur Gardarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Spiliopoulos might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sabaton. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Spiliopoulos throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gardarsson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Spiliopoulos is in Gardarsson's guard.
Spiliopoulos passes Gardarsson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gardarsson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Spiliopoulos is looking for a kimura but Gardarsson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Spiliopoulos to get the leverage.
Spiliopoulos wants to control but Gardarsson is keeping him busy.
Spiliopoulos works his way into side control.
Spiliopoulos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gardarsson keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gardarsson wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Spiliopoulos has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Gardarsson's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Gardarsson is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Spiliopoulos!
