Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garv Pauley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pauley's entrance music is Steve Earle . A fine choice. Lawson has chosen Wait and Bleed by Slipknot as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A big right from Lawson misses.
Lawson missing with a left hand there. Pauley was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lawson moves out of range of the strikes.
Lawson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Pauley uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lawson.

Pauley takes the fight into the clinch.
Pauley works on Lawson's body with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lawson swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Pauley throws the kick towards the body but Lawson avoids it.
Lawson cracks Pauley with a right hand to the side of the head.

Lawson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pauley in his tracks.

Pauley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lawson throws out the jab.
Pauley throws a series of punches but Lawson avoids them all with ease.
Lawson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Pauley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lawson.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lawson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pauley.

Lawson thuds a left hand into Pauley's body.
Pauley shoots in but Lawson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Lawson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lawson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Pauley loads up on a big right hand but Lawson slips the punch.
Lawson scores with a jab to the head.
Trevor Lawson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pauley has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pauley there as he acknowledges the shot.

Lawson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pauley to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lawson is looking to stand up but Pauley isn't so interested in that idea.

Pauley stands up over Lawson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lawson wants to get back to his feet but Pauley passes into half guard.

Pauley slips a nice elbow through Lawson's hands, connecting with Lawson's forehead.

Pauley in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Lawson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Pauley!
