The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porter throws a hook but Jackson blocks it.

Jackson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Porter if he has to take too many more of those.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Porter shows good takedown defense.

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Porter's guard.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Jackson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Jackson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Jackson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Porter for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Porter's waist but Porter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.
