Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Balbus Michael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chrys Kyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Balbus Michael!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chrys Kyle!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyle connects with a body shot.
Kyle has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kyle there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kyle throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Kyle throws a solid leg kick but Michael takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kyle.
Michael takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Michael lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kyle stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Balbus Michael seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kyle shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kyle doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kyle misses with a straight left.
Michael uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kyle.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Michael.
Kyle shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Michael eats them both and turns towards Kyle to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kyle's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Michael connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Michael jabs Kyle to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Michael throws out a leg kick but Kyle moves out of range and Michael only half commits.
Michael feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kyle's calf.

and Kyle counters with a three punch combo that has Michael backing up. Michael nods at Kyle to acknowledge the strikes.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A nice side step and Kyle releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Michael lands with a hook. Kyle tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Kyle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Michael tries to land a front kick but Kyle steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Michael fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kyle manages to avoid it.
Kyle stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Michael.
Kyle just misses with a punch to the body.
Kyle throws a lazy uppercut
and Michael counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Balbus Michael showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Michael, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
