These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Takahashi lands the left hand.

It looks like Gabriel Gray has been cut.
Gray pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gray steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Takahashi.
Gray misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Takahashi counters with a straight right hand.
Gray avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gray looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gray pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Gray misses with a leg kick.
Takahashi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Takahashi scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Takahashi blocks a jab.
Gray fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Takahashi.
Gray throws a looping overhand right but Takahashi ducks down to avoid it.
Takahashi ducks under a wild hook from Gray.
Takahashi is looking to counter punch.
Takahashi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big left from Takahashi misses.
Nice defenses there by Takahashi.
Takahashi went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

and Gray counters with a nice uppercut.
Gray connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Gray doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gray fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takahashi manages to avoid it.
Gray looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Gray misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gray comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Takahashi throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Gray counters with a crisp right hand that drops Takahashi! Gray lets Takahashi back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Takahashi is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takahashi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Takahashi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gray moves out of range of the body kick.
Takahashi seems to have got his legs back now.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gray.
Takahashi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Takahashi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gray manages to avoid it.
Gray feints a counter leg kick.
Gray catches Takahashi with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Takahashi forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
