The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shojiro appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

and Shojiro counters with a nice body shot.
Shojiro jabs at Jones's body.
Shojiro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shojiro could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shojiro napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Shojiro explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shojiro clinches up against the cage.
Shojiro tries to break free but Jones pushes him back against the cage.
Shojiro manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Shojiro is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jones controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Shojiro has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Jones is looking to defend but Shojiro has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Jones! Shojiro pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Jones taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kido Shojiro!
