The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miocic takes the fight into the clinch.
Miocic throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Miocic slowing the pace effectively.
Miocic gets control of Mcmahon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Miocic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Miocic looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mcmahon puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Miocic tries to kick Mcmahon off in order to stand up. Mcmahon Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Mcmahon is trying to work for a kimura but Miocic is defending well.
Miocic looks like he's trying to stand up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Miocic is doing well to control the position and prevent Mcmahon from advancing to side control.

and Mcmahon counters with a three punch combo that has Miocic backing up. Miocic nods at Mcmahon to acknowledge the strikes.
Mcmahon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miocic paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Miocic shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mcmahon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mcmahon wriggles free and stands up.

and Mcmahon counters with a three punch combo that has Miocic backing up. Miocic nods at Mcmahon to acknowledge the strikes.

Sloppy strikes from Miocic. Those never looked like landing.
Miocic gets a clinch.
Mcmahon can't get the takedown.
Miocic wants the takedown. Mcmahon is fighting it off but Miocic persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mcmahon's guard against the cage.

Mcmahon has momentary wrist control but Miocic slips an elbow through the middle.
Mcmahon is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Miocic wants to stand and escape but instead Mcmahon has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Miocic has control of Mcmahon's left arm, preventing Mcmahon from doing any damage.
Miocic is continuing to stall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brant Mcmahon will probably get the nod.

Miocic is staying tight to Mcmahon's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Miocic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Miocic wants to stand but Mcmahon has his arm trapped.

Miocic is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mcmahon's shoulder. That is not cool.
Miocic tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Miocic has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mcmahon looks to move to half guard but instead Miocic has passed into mount! Damn!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miocic is working for a guillotine from mount but Mcmahon frees his head quite easily.

Miocic lands a big shot there that rocks Mcmahon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Brant Mcmahon has been cut.
Miocic postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Mcmahon in real trouble here! The ref calls for Mcmahon to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
