Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Reynaldo Garrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexander Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Anderson gets a clinch.
Anderson keeps control of Garrison as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Anderson goes for a takedown attempt but Garrison pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Reynaldo Garrison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Anderson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Garrison counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Garrison stuffs the takedown attempt from Anderson. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet.

Garrison takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Garrison blocks a low kick nicely.
A punch combination from Anderson misses.
Garrison appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Garrison is trying to force a seperation but Anderson has the dominant position.
Anderson jumps guard but Garrison stands there with Anderson around his waist. Anderson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Anderson tries for a takedown but Garrison manages to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Garrison wants to break free but Anderson has control.
Anderson working hard to break the clinch.
Garrison is trying to force a seperation but Anderson has the dominant position.

Garrison breaks from the clinch.

Anderson dives in and scores a takedown into Garrison's guard.
Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Garrison is retaining full guard.
Anderson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Garrison is on top in guard.

Anderson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garrison is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Garrison lands a couple of elbows.
Garrison has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Garrison working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Garrison drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Garrison jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Anderson looking for a guillotine here but Garrison defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson is looking to sweep but instead, Garrison has passed into half guard.
Garrison prevents Anderson from improving his position.

Anderson is defending against the submission attempts here by Garrison.
Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garrison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Garrison is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Anderson sees it coming and defends easily.
Garrison scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Anderson wants to get back to full guard.
Garrison lands with a punch from half guard.

Garrison in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Anderson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Garrison!
