Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 wins, 2 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jamie Blue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Las Vegas, Koopa King!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King clinches with his opponent.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Blue.
King misses with a punch to the body.

Blue's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Good exchange - Blue coming out on top.
King looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
King walks into a left hand.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
King moves forwards but Blue connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Blue tries to sprawl but King drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blue pushes King off looking to stand but King dives back in and keeps control.
Blue on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Blue tries to get out of the position.

It looks like King might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

King thows a huge punch but Blue dodges it nicely.

Blue tries to kick King off but King keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Blue looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

King takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A jab lands there for Blue.
Blue wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

King shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than King was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Blue tries to escape but King is in control.
King works to advance to full mount. Blue defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Blue takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
King tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
King won't let Blue get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

We've been informed that King has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Blue is in a horrible position here. King smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

BOOM! King connects with a massive shot to the dome!
King content just to control the position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koopa King dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


King looks to land a left hand but Blue moved out of range nicely.
Blue lands with a good body shot.
King slips under a jab.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blue enables King to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blue manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
King is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
King controls from within his opponent's guard.
More stalling from King.
King has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
King controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blue works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

King is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
King moves out of range of the strikes.
King tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Blue can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as King controls the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A lazy left from Blue finds it's target.

King closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
King remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
King works to advance to full mount. Blue defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

King pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
King takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Let's hope that King has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Blue bucks King off and manages to get back to his feet!

Koopa King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


King throws a hook but Blue blocks it.
King dives in and grabs Blue's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blue pushes down on King's head and hops out.
King misses with a takedown attempt - Blue sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Blue lands a nice looking body shot.

King gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Blue pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
King tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Blue's elbow.

Blue breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blue swings for the body but King moves out of range.
King drops his hands momentarily and Blue takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Blue is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Blue ducks down and throws a hook to the body but King moves away.

Jamie Blue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Koopa King.

King throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Blue tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. King is in Blue's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Koopa King is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
The fighters circling - Blue throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
King tries to clinch but Blue is having none of it.
Blue seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Blue lands a nice shot that snaps King's head back.

King is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
King tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

King feints and as Blue raises his hands in defense, King changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
King is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
King stops Blue from standing up.
King controlling from the top position.
King missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
King postures up in Blue's guard and throws a big left but Blue blocks it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
King is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

King shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Blue manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
King slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Blue will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
King content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

King is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from King.
King throws a strike but Blue rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

King wants to stand but Blue is controlling the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

King manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Koopa King.
I've got King winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
