Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gobal Batra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonnhy Five (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gobal Batra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonnhy Five!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Batra blocking some punches.
Batra keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Five's efforts to push away.

Batra just misses with a punch to the body.
Batra moves out of range of the strikes.
Five takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Batra looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Five has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Batra.
Horrible takedown attempt by Five or perhaps it was just good defense by Batra, which made it look bad.
Five takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Five on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Five will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Batra up against the cage.

We've been informed that Five has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Batra throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Five tumbling to the canvas!
Five can't keep his opponent in guard - Batra advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Batra looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Five keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Batra has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Batra drops an elbow to the side of Five's head.

Batra seems to be working for a kimura but Five defends the submission attempt.
Batra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Five keeps working.
Batra winds up and cracks Five with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Batra is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Five is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Five has escaped and now he's on top!

Five tries to clinch but Batra moves out of range.

Five is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Batra's half guard.

Five dodges the ground and pound from Batra.
Five is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Batra tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Batra remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Batra throws an elbow but Five slips to the side and avoids it well.

Batra misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Batra has control of Five's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Five regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Five really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Batra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Five changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Batra tries to avoid it but Five manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Batra to the ground. Batra escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Five wants to clinch up but Batra keeps it at a distance.
Batra has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Five walks into a jab.
Batra lands a nice looking body shot.
Gobal Batra is winning the standup battle so far.
Batra scores with a kick to the midsection.
Batra feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Five's calf.
Jonnhy Five is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Batra lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Batra takes a swing at Five's ribcage but misses.
Five tries to clinch
and Batra connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Batra throws a front kick that sends Five stumbling back into the cage.
