Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between James B. Grossweiner and Vaughn Peebles. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 2 losses; James B. Grossweiner! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Vaughn Peebles!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Peebles fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grossweiner sprawls well initially but Peebles persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Grossweiner (0) vs (2) Peebles
Peebles prevents Grossweiner from improving his position.
Grossweiner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Peebles is working away from the top position though.
Grossweiner is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Soul Supremacy Rio, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Grossweiner moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Peebles got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grossweiner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peebles has managed to get both his arms back between Grossweiner's legs - danger averted.
Peebles trying to control the position from guard on top but Grossweiner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grossweiner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Peebles defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peebles tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Grossweiner's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Grossweiner continues to stall.
Grossweiner passes Peebles's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Peebles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Grossweiner content to control rather than advance.

Grossweiner is pressing down on Peebles's thigh, looking to free his foot. Peebles is holding on for now.

Grossweiner is taking a breather. Peebles says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Grossweiner is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Grossweiner looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Peebles is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Grossweiner has latched onto it... Big trouble! Grossweiner pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Peebles is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Grossweiner!
