The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNicoles misses with a right hand
and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've been told by Smith's head coaches at Rain's that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smith steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McNicoles.
Smith punishes McNicoles's body with a nice straight punch.
McNicoles throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Smith counters with a crisp right hand that drops McNicoles! Smith lets McNicoles back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

McNicoles is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McNicoles swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Smith rattles McNicoles with a well-timed uppercut counter. - McNicoles tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Smith dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving McNicoles stiff and motionless on the mat!
