Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between A J Hearts and Aloysius Martin Thesz. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; A J Hearts! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 5 losses; Aloysius Martin Thesz!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Thesz gets caught flat footed, as Hearts shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Thesz looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hearts has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hearts won't allow Thesz to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thesz felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Thesz tries to reverse the position but Hearts maintains control.
Thesz is controlling an arm, preventing Hearts from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Thesz is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hearts gets his way!

Thesz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hearts swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hearts bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thesz's guard.

Hearts looking to sit in guard and control but Thesz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hearts slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Thesz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Thesz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thesz wants to advance to full mount but Hearts doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hearts is on top in guard.

Thesz has Hearts pulled in close to control his posture.

Thesz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hearts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hearts wants to pass the guard but Thesz is keeping the position.
Hearts stays in close to Thesz's body and controls the position.

Hearts stands and throws Thesz's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Hearts swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Thesz is now in Hearts's guard. A big mistake from Hearts there, giving up the dominant position!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Thesz is looking for a kimura here.
Hearts won't allow Thesz to pass to mount.

Hearts takes the fight on points by 22 to 8.
