Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Cowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Tom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kings Of Leon - Sex on Fire. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Cowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Tom!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tom shoots and misses
and Cowell counters with a nice body shot.
Tom has his takedown stuffed
and Cowell counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Tom!
Cowell scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Tom to see if he's OK.
Cowell lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tom down.
Tom should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Tom is looking for a sweep.
Tom manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cowell's best efforts.
Tom is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cowell pulls his head out easily.
Tom tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Cowell has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
BOOM! Cowell connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Tom wants to try and get back to his feet.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
A nice elbow there by Cowell.
Tom in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
We've been hearing good reports from Cowell's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Cowell pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Tom tries to hold on but Cowell postures up.
Cowell cracks Tom with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Cowell lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Tom hang on?
Tom is rocked!
Tom wants to control but Cowell is having none of it.
Cowell lands a nice shot to the head.
Tom is still in real trouble! Can Cowell finish him?
Cowell scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Tom?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cowell unloading with bombs!
Cowell is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big strike lands for Cowell! That's really hurt Tom and he's turned his back - Cowell keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Cowell jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alex Cowell!
