The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Bones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Overeem tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bones throws a counter combo.

Overeem moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Overeem moves in looking to clinch but Bones pushes him off.
Bones throws a series of punches but Overeem avoids them all with ease.
Overeem tries to clinch up but Bones circles away and keeps his distance.
Overeem shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bones as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Overeem shoots in looking for a takedown but Bones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Overeem's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Overeem tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Overeem somewhat.

Overeem looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Bones gets tackled into the cage by Overeem. Overeem maintains the clinch.
Bones tries to break the clinch but Overeem is controlling the position.
Overeem jumps guard but Bones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Overeem is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Bones wants to get back to striking at distance but Overeem won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Overeem shoots for a double leg takedown but Bones sprawls well. He's pushed Overeem's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bones cracks Overeem with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Bones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Overeem.
Overeem throws a big counter combination but Bones scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Overeem has his takedown stuffed
and Bones counters with a three punch combo that has Overeem backing up. Overeem nods at Bones to acknowledge the strikes.
Bones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Overeem tries to counter by clinching up but Bones breaks away and moves out of range.
Bones connects with a jab.
Overeem throws a leg kick that is checked
and Bones counters with a crisp right hand that drops Overeem! Bones lets Overeem back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Alistair Overeem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bones connects with a nice cross there... Overeem is looking wobbly and Bones recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Overeem to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bones jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
