Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clay Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Jonathon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Jonathon!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonathon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jonathon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Mercer gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mercer throws a looping overhand right but Jonathon ducks down to avoid it.
Jonathon wants to counter with a clinch but Mercer pushes him away.
A low kick from Mercer misses

and Jonathon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mercer's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jonathon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jonathon looking to sit in guard and control but Mercer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mercer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Mercer wants to control from the top but Jonathon keeps moving.

Jonathon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mercer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jonathon pulls Mercer in close to his closed guard and prevents Mercer from doing any damage or advancing position.

Mercer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Jonathon jabs Mercer to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Clay Mercer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jonathon looking to score a takedown here. Mercer is defending well but Jonathon drives through and ends up in Mercer's guard.

Jonathon is taking a breather. Mercer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jonathon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Mercer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jonathon pulls his head out easily.

Jonathon is trying to work for a kimura but Mercer is defending well.

Jonathon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Jonathon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Jonathon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Jonathon moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Mercer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jonathon scores with punches from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Jonathon dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Mercer counters with a nice uppercut.

and Mercer counters with a crisp one two that drops Jonathon! Mercer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jonathon to his feet! Jonathon is in big trouble!

Jonathon is rocked!
Jonathon is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Mercer doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Jonathon crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Jonathon's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Clay Mercer!
Clay Mercer got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
