Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Terry Mcdermott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felicito Vicente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcdermott comes to the cage accompanied by Broken Wings. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Terry Mcdermott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Felicito Vicente!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcdermott tries to keep at a distance but Vicente has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vicente has Mcdermott pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vicente pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mcdermott tumbling to the mat - Vicente dives into Mcdermott's guard.

Vicente thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mcdermott is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vicente defends well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vicente wants to pass the guard but Mcdermott is keeping the position.

Mcdermott has his foot on Vicente's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vicente works his way back into a safe position though.
Vicente controls from within his opponent's guard.

Vicente drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mcdermott manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vicente has Mcdermott in his guard.

Vicente wants to sweep here but Mcdermott controlling him for the moment.
Vicente has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Vicente working for a triangle but Mcdermott defends it easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vicente is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcdermott defends well.
Vicente lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Vicente tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcdermott is retaining full guard.
Vicente is looking to stand up but Mcdermott won't let him.
Vicente trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcdermott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vicente stands and throws Mcdermott's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Vicente wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcdermott keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcdermott trying to remain calm as Vicente controls from the top position.

Vicente thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mcdermott tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vicente wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Vicente working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Vicente looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Mcdermott is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Vicente is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Vicente looking for a guillotine from mount but Mcdermott is having none of it.

Vicente jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mcdermott is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mcdermott and Vicente has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vicente swings around for an armbar but Mcdermott sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vicente's guard.

Mcdermott is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Vicente is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mcdermott passes Vicente's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vicente slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Felicito Vicente dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Vicente will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Vicente looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Vicente is trying to control. Mcdermott wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Mcdermott has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vicente is working away from the top position though.
Vicente trying to mount his opponent but Mcdermott defends it.
Vicente is trying to control the action in half guard but Mcdermott is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Vicente seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vicente is looking for a kimura but Mcdermott is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vicente to get the leverage.

Vicente is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Vicente taking a breather but there's no such thing in a fight! Mcdermott has locked on to a kimura from the bottom - he uses it to sweep and is now looking to finish from the top position! He's got it! Vicente has tapped! Great work by Mcdermott! Lay and pray doesn't pay, kids! Just remember, you heard it here first.
