Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifford Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deity Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tries to clinch but Nguyen moves out of range.
Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown but Nguyen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sanchez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nguyen's waist but Nguyen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side.

Sanchez clinches.
The referee is keeping an eye on Nguyen - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Sanchez manages to break the clinch.
Nguyen misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nguyen tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nguyen to the ground. Nguyen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nguyen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sanchez sprawls and moves away.
Clifford Nguyen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deity Sanchez.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sanchez is defended easily by Nguyen.

Sanchez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nguyen tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nguyen to the ground. Nguyen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sanchez throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Nguyen's head.

It looks like Clifford Nguyen has been cut.
Sanchez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sanchez misses with a head kick.
Nguyen misses with a two punch combination.
Sanchez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nguyen at a distance.
Sanchez throws a quick inside leg kick.

Sanchez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nguyen tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Sanchez manages to circle out of the way.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nguyen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sanchez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nguyen did well to prevent Sanchez getting side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanchez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nguyen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Nguyen is trying to control but Sanchez manages to pass to mount!

Sanchez is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Nguyen is defending well though. Sanchez let's go of the attempt for now.
